What a perfect celebration of our anniversary! We sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen and enjoyed the tasting menu, which made the entire experience even more memorable. Every dish that arrived was exquisite—beautifully balanced flavors, incredibly fresh ingredients, and stunning presentation that made each course feel like a work of art. The service was second to none. It truly felt like all hands were on deck to create an exceptional dining experience. The chefs personally brought dishes to us and took the time to explain each course, adding a wonderful personal touch. Meanwhile, the servers were attentive and caring ensuring every detail was taken care of. Everyone seemed genuinely happy, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Their enthusiasm elevated an already outstanding meal. From start to finish, it was a remarkable experience and one we won’t forget.

Walking into Cordelia on East 4th feels like crashing the best dinner party in the Rust Belt. They bill themselves as "Modern Grandma," and the aesthetic nails its mismatched floral china, vintage glassware, and the kind of warm, chaotic hospitality that makes you feel instantly fed before the first plate hits the table. The food is smart, heritage-driven, and aggressively local without being preachy about it. The menu leans into a "Bellie Up" share-plate format that encourages a little bit of gluttony. The standouts are non-negotiable. The "Burger Box" is a masterclass in joy, sliders on house-made sesame buns with a crispy, lacy "cheese skirt" that defies physics. The fried chicken is armor-plated in crunch and seasoned perfectly, and the giant pierogi (because, Cleveland) manages to be both heavy comfort food and surprisingly refined. Even the vegetable dishes, like the roasted cauliflower and the carrot muhammara, bring a Mediterranean brightness that cuts through the richness. But the real wildcard is the atmosphere. The room is bustling and loud, fueled by a playlist that is strictly hip-hop and rap. There is a fascinating, almost jarring cognitive dissonance to eating off delicate, floral-patterned antique plates while the speakers are blasting 2000s bangers. At first, it feels out of place, like your Nana suddenly took over the aux cord at the family reunion. But after a few bites and a cocktail, you realize the juxtaposition is the point. The music keeps the nostalgia from feeling dusty. It stops the "heirloom" vibe from taking itself too seriously. It’s loud, it’s fun, and it’s arguably the best meal in Cleveland right now. The Verdict: Come for the Burger Box, stay for the vibe clash. Just be ready to nod your head while you pass the jojo's.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. We reserved a table in advance for dinner (highly recommended as the place was full for a Thursday evening). There’s a classic old world mid west charm about the place. The hospitality is fantastic and the food even better! The fried chicken (2 pieces, a thigh & a leg in Mines) is wonderfully crispy and delicious. The burger box is a classic hamburger (serves 2 comfortably). My colleague had the corned lamb and it was fall off the bone tender. A must visit restaurant in happening downtown Cleveland!

A Gem on East 4th Street! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cordelia and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The Location: The restaurant is located on the iconic East 4th Street, which has such a vibrant and lively atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot for a night out in downtown Cleveland. The Food: Everything we ordered was exceptional, but if you go, the Burger Box is the way to go! It was absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall Vibe: Great food, great service, and located on one of the best streets in the city. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Cleveland!

My wife and I ate here before going to the orchestra last night. We’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile but it never aligned up. We’ve tried walking in but they are very busy and you are lucky if you find a spot at the bar. We chanced it and walked in right at dinner time and got the last 2 spots at the bar. They have a variety of good sounding drinks to choose from. We were just here to eat. Server was very quick to introduce herself, give menus and water, and was prompt and on point all night. Excellent service. The food menu is smaller but with a lot of unique foods and flavor combos. They are designed as shareable dishes. We tried one of the cheeses, a carrot dish, the Jojo fries, fried chicken, and the burger box. All dishes tasted phenomenal! And we saw others at want to try. The flavors really shined on all dishes. We will be going back and highly recommend to others!

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend reserving a counter seat, watching the kitchen is super fun. Definitely a top 10 restaurant for me personally. Also love that they change up the items on the menu based on seasonal availability of ingredients - makes me feel a lot better about what I’m eating and I appreciate how intentional it is. Hana was a wonderful server and really made the experience there great.

10/10 experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was absolutely incredible, and the service truly exceeded our expectations. Every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. We especially LOVED the shrimp toast and the burnt carrots You can really tell how much care goes into the menu. And our bartender, Haylee, was more than words could describe. She guided us through the menu with such knowledge and enthusiasm, made the most amazing drinks, and genuinely made us feel like she was happy we were there. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it made our night even more special. We will absolutely be recommending this place to everyone we know and cannot wait to come back to try more of the menu. Already looking forward to our next visit! AND YES GET THE FRIED PIEROGI

We went to Cordelia for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary, knowing we were going to have great food. We loved learning that orders are meant to be shared, and everything comes out fresh from the kitchen when they’re finished preparing it. We decided to be adventurous and do the Bellie Up - and couldn’t have had a better experience. Although we didn’t get to choose any of the meals in the courses, there wasn’t a single dish we had that we didn’t go back for a second bite. Everything was paired perfectly and tasted delicious. There were multiple things we had that we would’ve never ordered for ourselves, and some of those items we ended up absolutely loving! The staff are ridiculously knowledgeable about the food and drink options, and we got to box up everything we didn’t eat to take home. We will absolutely be back to celebrate our special moments. P.S. - If you don’t get the fried chicken, you wasted your trip.

Just incredible - I did the tasting menu, “Bellie Up” I got a taste of the majority of not all the highlights. I highly recommend, if a group or three or less, to sit at the kitchen counter and watch the magic. You’ll get to chat with the chefs (if you want) and watch them do their thing - whether your food or others. Service was impeccable, nailing the balance between helpful/friendly and letting me enjoy my meal. The pierogi was the best I’ve ever had - and as a northeastern I’ve had MANY. The shrimp toast and carrots with labneh were other highlights. As was the burger - holy geez!! Smash burger heaven. The Dirt Bowl dessert was a twist on the classic worth the visit. If you are in Cleveland, I can only recommend trying to make a reservation.

We went for the first time there and had Sunday Brunch. We had Japanese French Toast, Midwest Omlette and Dimmy Jeans. The japanese french toast wasn't overly sweet at all and I've always wanted to try something like this. It paired great with the fruit. The maple syrup didn't have a strong maple taste at all. The midwest omelette was very soft and then the smoke cheddar cheese taste hits and then the 'oh so tender' pork belly with the rich smoky taste. This omelette is top notch and one of the best I've ever had. If you like omelettes you need to try this. The dimmy jeans was the star of the show. It was amazing how all the flavors worked together and I could have eaten two plates of this, maybe next time I will. Everything was phenomenal and we ate every last crumb. I will be back for sure. I'm looking forward to the burger box but we intentionally ate the brunch only items while we were there. We may be spoiled by going to brunch the first time there, and we want to go back for dinner.
